How to set-up and use twitter on your desktop-Send and receive tweets from your desktop.

There are a lot of different twitter clients that allow you to tweet from your desktop as well as receive up to date tweets as they get sent!Some applications even have a URL shortening tool and a inbox with all our direct messages.Using a twitter client is much better than using the twitter website as it is faster and you don't have to click all over the place to get what you want as it is all there.

In the guide we are going to show you how to how to install a twitter client called tweetdeck.

1.Firstly you will have to download adobe AIR if you do not already have it! To download adobe AIR click here. Once you have downloaded and installed adobe AIR you can go to the next step.

2.Download tweetdeck by clicking here and then clicking the "download now" button.A window will open up on your browser which will indicate that is is installing.When it asks you if you would like to open or save the file click open.

3.A box will appear again! click the"install"button and then click"continue"

4.Now enter your twitter user name and password and click remember me.

5.once you logged in you have successfully set up your twitter client!

  1. If you're using Firefox, TwitterFox is probably the best add-on to use. It integrates Twitter into your browser -- allowing updates, outbound tweets, etc. It will even shorten URLs, as needed, on the fly.
